Investigation into the physics and technology of graphene in the past decade has triggered research into a large family of similar Van der Waals structures. One such class of materials that is receiving a huge amount of attention is transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) which have shown immense potential towards both electronics & optoelectronics applications. To fulfil this potential there must be a clear understanding of both the fabrication of these materials & the techniques involved in their characterisation.

This webinar will be focussed on recent advances in growth of these materials as well as Raman characterisation & elucidate the interplay between process engineering & materials characterisation.

This webinar comprises of two talks followed by a Q&A at the end:

  • Characterisation of 2D Materials & Heterostructures
  • Deposition of 2D Materials & Heterostructures
