Fast Force Mapping modulus map of PS-PCL polymer blend

Modulus mapping of a polystyrene (PS)-polycaprolactone (PCL) polymer blend. Imaged with Fast Force Mapping Mode on the MFP-3D Infinity AFM, scan size 4 µm. Modulus data is shown overlaid on 3D topography. The 1024x1024 image size would be impractically slow to obtain with conventional force mapping techniques. As expected from bulk literature values, PS regions (light) have higher modulus (approximately 3 GPa) than PCL regions (dark, approximately 350 MPa).
