PZT

The piezoresponse phase signal was painted onto the rendered three dimensional topography. Square, scan box domains were written in a PZT surface using bias voltages of +5 volts (blue, inner box in the center) and -3 volts (outer green box). Images were made in contact mode with an oscillating potential applied to the conducting cantilever. The phase is indicative of the alignment of the ferroelectric domains in the sample. 16 µm scan. Imaged with the MFP-3D AFM.
