Single (ss)- and double (ds)-stranded DNA adsorbed onto graphene

AFM image of a ssDNA and dsDNA mixture absorbed on pristine graphene deposited on SiO2 substrate in 1 mM Tris?HCl buffer solution containing 5 mM Mg2+ ions. 1.7 µm scan. dsDNA can be easily distinguished between ssDNA. Imaged with the Cypher AFM. Courtesy of Prof. Andras Kis, EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland Reference: Langmuir 2010, 26(23), 18078?18082
