AFM Workshop Series at NCSU

July 27: Nanomechanical Characterization
Aug. 17: Nanomagnetics

Learn About the Latest Advanced AFM Solutions

Please join us at NCSU for the last two parts of our free AFM workshop series, featuring lectures and hands-on demonstrations of nanomechanics and nanomagnetics. It's an excellent chance to catch up on the latest advances in AFM and get in front of an instrument to see how it's done.

Nanomechanical Characterization July 27

Elevate your research and understanding of quantitative nanomechanics.  Topics include:

▪ In-liquid Imaging
▪ Force spectroscopy
▪ Nanomechanics on soft materials

Place:  NCSU Monteith Research Center (MRC), Room 436
Time:  Technical presentation: 10:00am-11:30
Hands on demonstration: 12:30pm-3:30

Nanomagnetics August 17

Asylum's hard materials guru, Keith Jones, will discuss the latest advances in characterizing magnetic materials.  Topics include:

▪ Electromagnetic characterization with Dual AC, MFM, and frequency tracking MFM
▪ New VFM4 option for the MFP-3D, enabling measurements under applied in-plane and out-of-plane magnetic fields

Place:  NCSU Monteith Research Center (MRC), Room 436
Time:  Technical presentation: 10:00am-11:30
Hands on demonstration: 12:30pm-3:30
