Bottom-Up Nanofabrication with DNA Origami

A longstanding goal in the field of nanotechnology is not just the nanoscale characterization of materials but actually the engineered, controlled fabrication of nanoscale structures. Current approaches to nanofabrication can be loosely grouped into two categories: top-down and bottom-up. This application note describes bottom-up fabrication of complex nanostructures on DNA origami with subsequent characterization by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM).
